How this piece came about
Bitcoin aims for a block every ten minutes — 600 seconds. This poster is that number and the small truth behind it: it never quite hits 600.
Every 2016 blocks the network re-adjusts, but it measures only 2015 intervals and scales them to 2016. An off-by-one that's been aiming at 600.2978 since 2009.
